- Question: Who is a typical Maranatha Student?
Answer:: Strong personal character is the most important quality
among our students. Those seriously considered for admittance into Maranatha
College must have had a salvation experience, and have evidences of a Christian
life consistent with high Christian standards among his family, friends, and
fellow church members. Students must be willing to respect and uphold Maranatha’s
Statement of Faith. Typical Maranatha students are those who feel a calling and
duty to be disciples for Christ, and who desire to be used by God to minister
life to others. Many beginning their studies at Maranatha College will have
already received a very distinct call to ministry from God, while many will
still be seeking God’s will for their lives. Maranatha College provides an
opportunity for both seeking the calling of God and being prepared and equipped
to fulfill that calling.

- Question: What are the advantages and disadvantages of Maranatha Online
College as compared to Maranatha On-campus College?
Answer: Both methods of learning have their pros and cons. Maranatha
Online College lacks in the personal “hands-on” relationship with the instructors
that on-campus has, but offers the flexibility of studying at your own pace around
your own work schedule without being up-rooted to the campus in Meridian, Idaho.
The first two years of study is very much suited to complete an Associate of
Ministry degree totally online. The four year Bachelor of Ministry degree is best
completed on campus. However, the first two years can be completed online and the
last two years on campus. There can be exceptions to this if there is a minister
in the immediate area where the student lives who qualities as a mentor and is
willing to work with the student in areas of personal ministry. To make up for
some of the lack of the personal “hands-on” environment, Maranatha Online College
students will have access to online counselors and their instructors.
